*Dinner with backyard neighbors. I really enjoy them. Really. I love that our kids play so well together. I love that for the three hours we were there, the kids played peacefully and wonderfully the entire time. aaahhh. I love that I feel close to this lady. I love that I learn from her. I love that I didn't have to make dinner tonight.
*it was joyful talking with Klint about my deepest feelings tonight. Some that make me sad and a little scared when I say them out loud. But joyful that I can share them with him. He's mighty good at what he does. I'm joyful he's mine.
*Joyful moments. It's been really good for me to reflect back on my day and think of the positive. So if I'm grateful for joyful moments, I'm definitely grateful for personal revelation.
*It's joyful that Klint took tomorrow off for no particular reason. Joyful.

Joyful Moments
Because of those "funkish" moments that I experience every once and while, I want to do as Elder Ballard counseled a few years ago and find joy in the moments of motherhood. To help me do that, I am going to try and write four motherly things that either (1) made me smile (2) appreciate the sweet three kids that have been entrusted to me (3) feel joy in my decision to raise a family and be a full time mom (4) recognize the Lords hand in helping me to be successful as a Latter Day Saint woman and mother.
I have to add that my life isn't perfect. I hope that if anyone ever comes across this blog and reads it (which I am doubtful of) and compares themselves to it, or feels guilt or bad about themselves that they'll realize these are the HIGH points of my life, not my every waking moments. I have terrible mothering moments all the time. And that's the problem, that's why I wanted to start this. I feel so much guilt (which I'm trying to only save for sin now) about the things I do wrong or could have done better, or didn't do at all, that it can be crippling on those funkish days. I'm not trying to pretend that my life is perfect or everything is rosy. Opposition in all things right? We have to have the bad to know the good, the sad to know the happy. Don't compare your low points with my high points. Deal?
