*Forgetting alot of things today (like Emily's swimsuit for swim class---who does that?!?) and calmly finding ways to make it work. Feeling the Lord's hand help me in those situations...sometimes to find solutions, but I think also to just roll with it. Personal Revelation is great. Amazing how you give the Lord just a little and He rewards you abundantly.
*Laughing with Klint about somethings Justin did in his primary class.
*Having my nose pressed against Emily's and staring into her blue blue eyes. Watching her form her lips into a kiss (but it really looked like a fishy face) and give me a sweet loud kiss. That girl is somethin' else.
*Matthew finding a rock in the alley and wanting to keep it. I had to let him. It was pretty cool looking and I could just imagine what his mind was thinking when he "discovered" it. He finds wonderment and joy in the things I often overlook. I want to be more like him.

Because of those "funkish" moments that I experience every once and while, I want to do as Elder Ballard counseled a few years ago and find joy in the moments of motherhood. To help me do that, I am going to try and write four motherly things that either (1) made me smile (2) appreciate the sweet three kids that have been entrusted to me (3) feel joy in my decision to raise a family and be a full time mom (4) recognize the Lords hand in helping me to be successful as a Latter Day Saint woman and mother.
I have to add that my life isn't perfect. I hope that if anyone ever comes across this blog and reads it (which I am doubtful of) and compares themselves to it, or feels guilt or bad about themselves that they'll realize these are the HIGH points of my life, not my every waking moments. I have terrible mothering moments all the time. And that's the problem, that's why I wanted to start this. I feel so much guilt (which I'm trying to only save for sin now) about the things I do wrong or could have done better, or didn't do at all, that it can be crippling on those funkish days. I'm not trying to pretend that my life is perfect or everything is rosy. Opposition in all things right? We have to have the bad to know the good, the sad to know the happy. Don't compare your low points with my high points. Deal?
