*Holidays! No school, no work. Need I saw more?
*Saying tonight's prayer. It was Matthew's turn. It wasn't the most sincere he's ever offered. My favorite was, "And please bless everything and every object and oh yeah every robot and every machine type object."
*Making my list of to do's for this week, and instead of feeling overwhelmed, it seems very doable.
*Thinking of what to do for a mini juice (not tea, tea is gross according to Haven...and well the word of wisdom) party. Nothing to fancy or elaborate, but I think it will be fun. I think we'll use my great grandma's china and set out fabric napkins. Joyful just thinking about it. As much I was scared out of mind to have a little girl, it's pretty fun and great.

Because of those "funkish" moments that I experience every once and while, I want to do as Elder Ballard counseled a few years ago and find joy in the moments of motherhood. To help me do that, I am going to try and write four motherly things that either (1) made me smile (2) appreciate the sweet three kids that have been entrusted to me (3) feel joy in my decision to raise a family and be a full time mom (4) recognize the Lords hand in helping me to be successful as a Latter Day Saint woman and mother.
I have to add that my life isn't perfect. I hope that if anyone ever comes across this blog and reads it (which I am doubtful of) and compares themselves to it, or feels guilt or bad about themselves that they'll realize these are the HIGH points of my life, not my every waking moments. I have terrible mothering moments all the time. And that's the problem, that's why I wanted to start this. I feel so much guilt (which I'm trying to only save for sin now) about the things I do wrong or could have done better, or didn't do at all, that it can be crippling on those funkish days. I'm not trying to pretend that my life is perfect or everything is rosy. Opposition in all things right? We have to have the bad to know the good, the sad to know the happy. Don't compare your low points with my high points. Deal?
