*Having another day at home. I feel like I'm on a trip, like I'm doing something wrong (but delightfully so)not going anywhere and not having anything planned. I organized my filing cabinet (finally), played with Emily (alot), laughed with Emily (alot), and completely enjoyed being a stay at home mom. I'm a bit sad that I have to take my kids to the dentist and venture outside my home tomorrow. I think my life needs to be a bit slower and I'm just one to figure out a way to arrange it. I like being me, I like being a mom, I like where I'm at when I'm not so rushed.
*FINISHING THE TAXES! Need I say more?
*Talking with Klint while painting baseboards. I love that man. It's surprising to me that it still surprises me almost daily how much I love him.
*Talking with Klint about where we want to go on our trip. A trip that will only be him and I. ummm...something we haven't done since we had Justin...aaaahhhhh.....Any suggestions?

Because of those "funkish" moments that I experience every once and while, I want to do as Elder Ballard counseled a few years ago and find joy in the moments of motherhood. To help me do that, I am going to try and write four motherly things that either (1) made me smile (2) appreciate the sweet three kids that have been entrusted to me (3) feel joy in my decision to raise a family and be a full time mom (4) recognize the Lords hand in helping me to be successful as a Latter Day Saint woman and mother.
I have to add that my life isn't perfect. I hope that if anyone ever comes across this blog and reads it (which I am doubtful of) and compares themselves to it, or feels guilt or bad about themselves that they'll realize these are the HIGH points of my life, not my every waking moments. I have terrible mothering moments all the time. And that's the problem, that's why I wanted to start this. I feel so much guilt (which I'm trying to only save for sin now) about the things I do wrong or could have done better, or didn't do at all, that it can be crippling on those funkish days. I'm not trying to pretend that my life is perfect or everything is rosy. Opposition in all things right? We have to have the bad to know the good, the sad to know the happy. Don't compare your low points with my high points. Deal?
