6/22/10

*Having the missionaries from our church over for dinner tonight. They were 45 minutes late, but polite enough to call twice to keep us aware of what's going on. Having them share a lesson of Joseph Smith's First Vision. They then asked the question, "what blessings do we have because of the Restoration?" I felt the Holy Ghost testifying to me that these young men are servants of our Heavenly Father. That my life is RICHLY blest because of that First Vision. As I answered their question my heart was warm and happy. I knew what I was saying was true. And I want my children to feel that too. I want Emily, Justin and Matthew to know that they can turn in prayer to our Heavenly Father and ask Him about their worries.

*Riding a plasma car with Emily down the street. She can make those things move faster than I can any day. Another joyful moment was listening to her talk to the Elders. After dessert she stood up on her chair, put her pointer finger in the arm and declared, "wait! I have som'hing for you ldrs" She ran into the living room and came back with a toy hammer for each of them. She was so disappointed when she found the hammers after they left. I believe she'll remember and give them to them next time she sees them.

*Sitting in my anti-gravity chair in the hot sun this afternoon. Emily was asleep, Matthew and Justin were slippin' and sliding. I loved feeling the hotness of the sun rays on my legs. Maybe they will have a little more color tomorrow. Probably not, but I still loved the feeling. I also loved the feeling on going down the slippin' slide full clothed and sitting back in my chair to dry off. That was a delicious feeling.
