*walking in the front yard with Emily this morning. It was cool. Emily said the floor was cold on her feet. happy sigh. I heart fall.
*buying special treats for General Conference tomorrow. I love conference, and I love that my boys, completely on their own, didn't want to do their soccer game so they could watch conference. I quote, "The prophet is way more important. It's the best choice." And it is. I am blest to be taught by my kids.
*Fasting. Fasting is hard. Fasting usually leaves me very cranky and grumpy. Not so much today. It helps to have something really worth wile to fast for.
*Seeing new pictures on my friends Gaylene's photography blog. Man she's talented and she brings joy into my life with her personality and her talents. Yep, it's a joyful moment whenever she updates.
*Dinner with husbando. Holding his hand or feeling his hand on my leg the whole evening. I love him.

Joyful Moments
Because of those "funkish" moments that I experience every once and while, I want to do as Elder Ballard counseled a few years ago and find joy in the moments of motherhood. To help me do that, I am going to try and write four motherly things that either (1) made me smile (2) appreciate the sweet three kids that have been entrusted to me (3) feel joy in my decision to raise a family and be a full time mom (4) recognize the Lords hand in helping me to be successful as a Latter Day Saint woman and mother.
I have to add that my life isn't perfect. I hope that if anyone ever comes across this blog and reads it (which I am doubtful of) and compares themselves to it, or feels guilt or bad about themselves that they'll realize these are the HIGH points of my life, not my every waking moments. I have terrible mothering moments all the time. And that's the problem, that's why I wanted to start this. I feel so much guilt (which I'm trying to only save for sin now) about the things I do wrong or could have done better, or didn't do at all, that it can be crippling on those funkish days. I'm not trying to pretend that my life is perfect or everything is rosy. Opposition in all things right? We have to have the bad to know the good, the sad to know the happy. Don't compare your low points with my high points. Deal?
