*Phones. Having two different lines so I could resolve an phone issue for my mama all at once.
*Having three wonderful kids who over the last few days have been very patient with me. With my dad in ICU back in Utah, I've been on the phone alot. The kids normally rebel and become very needy (bad to say I know..) as soon as I get on the phone. But the past two days they have been very understanding. Beyond their years understanding. I can't help but to think it's a blessing from a tender Heavenly Father, and also because I have some pretty spectacular kids.
*Hearing Klint's voice on the phone today. Scratching his back during dinner. I love him. I love being with him.
*A wonderful, caring, sweet, funny Mother in law. She is one inspired chica. I'm so grateful to be attached to her.

Because of those "funkish" moments that I experience every once and while, I want to do as Elder Ballard counseled a few years ago and find joy in the moments of motherhood. To help me do that, I am going to try and write four motherly things that either (1) made me smile (2) appreciate the sweet three kids that have been entrusted to me (3) feel joy in my decision to raise a family and be a full time mom (4) recognize the Lords hand in helping me to be successful as a Latter Day Saint woman and mother.
I have to add that my life isn't perfect. I hope that if anyone ever comes across this blog and reads it (which I am doubtful of) and compares themselves to it, or feels guilt or bad about themselves that they'll realize these are the HIGH points of my life, not my every waking moments. I have terrible mothering moments all the time. And that's the problem, that's why I wanted to start this. I feel so much guilt (which I'm trying to only save for sin now) about the things I do wrong or could have done better, or didn't do at all, that it can be crippling on those funkish days. I'm not trying to pretend that my life is perfect or everything is rosy. Opposition in all things right? We have to have the bad to know the good, the sad to know the happy. Don't compare your low points with my high points. Deal?
