* Seeing Klint walk through the door. Hugging him. Holding him. I love him.
* Spending the day with two of the most delightful and righteous woman I know. I am so lucky to have married into such a great family. I love watching a old movie with Shannon and Virgina. It was just my taste and I loved it. I loved watching with other people who loved it as much as I did! Lauren Bacall was smokin' in it!
*Watching Justin be so happy that I came to help in his classroom today. I love him. I love him.
*watching Justin eat my taco soup. He hates taco soup, but he ate nearly the whole bowl (I finally told him to stop) without a single whimper or murmur. He is such a good kid with an amazing heart. I loooove him.

Because of those "funkish" moments that I experience every once and while, I want to do as Elder Ballard counseled a few years ago and find joy in the moments of motherhood. To help me do that, I am going to try and write four motherly things that either (1) made me smile (2) appreciate the sweet three kids that have been entrusted to me (3) feel joy in my decision to raise a family and be a full time mom (4) recognize the Lords hand in helping me to be successful as a Latter Day Saint woman and mother.
I have to add that my life isn't perfect. I hope that if anyone ever comes across this blog and reads it (which I am doubtful of) and compares themselves to it, or feels guilt or bad about themselves that they'll realize these are the HIGH points of my life, not my every waking moments. I have terrible mothering moments all the time. And that's the problem, that's why I wanted to start this. I feel so much guilt (which I'm trying to only save for sin now) about the things I do wrong or could have done better, or didn't do at all, that it can be crippling on those funkish days. I'm not trying to pretend that my life is perfect or everything is rosy. Opposition in all things right? We have to have the bad to know the good, the sad to know the happy. Don't compare your low points with my high points. Deal?
