It's true, Lubbock isn't the most beautiful place to live. Pretty flat, pretty brown, pretty dry and pretty windy. However check out what I saw blooming almost two weeks ago.... I didn't take this picture, I wish I would have had my camera with me. I saw beautiful daffodils in full bloom when I took the boys to their gymnastics class. It was only the middle of February when I saw them. I was amazed. Spring flowers always seem to lift my spirits, so to see these flowers so early in the year not only brought a smile to my face, but I also took it as a sign that we are going to be just fine Lubbock. So while many of you are still digging yourself out of snow, we'll be enjoying warm temps (two days ago it was 71) and some pretty awesome flowers. But I may be changing my tune when "severe weather" aka tornado season rolls around pretty quick...
