*Talking with Emily today. It was just she and me all day. She's very chatty and I can't help but to smile and giggle a little. Tonight we had a conversation (all initiated my Miss M) about how Heavenly Father wants us to be happy. I shared with her how I think that's true, and then asked her what makes her happy. Her reply, "Playing with with my tea set and playing with Haven. That's what makes me happy." So simple. I loved it.
*My bathroom project is getting so close to being done! Well at lest the one of the parts of the remodel. We've replaced the lights, the faucet and I'm so close to finishing the board and batten I've been putting up.
*Reading in Isaiah, and seeing clearly that He was talking about the Book of Mormon, the Nephites and Joseph Smith. Awesome.
*This morning with Klint before any of the kids were up.

Because of those "funkish" moments that I experience every once and while, I want to do as Elder Ballard counseled a few years ago and find joy in the moments of motherhood. To help me do that, I am going to try and write four motherly things that either (1) made me smile (2) appreciate the sweet three kids that have been entrusted to me (3) feel joy in my decision to raise a family and be a full time mom (4) recognize the Lords hand in helping me to be successful as a Latter Day Saint woman and mother.
I have to add that my life isn't perfect. I hope that if anyone ever comes across this blog and reads it (which I am doubtful of) and compares themselves to it, or feels guilt or bad about themselves that they'll realize these are the HIGH points of my life, not my every waking moments. I have terrible mothering moments all the time. And that's the problem, that's why I wanted to start this. I feel so much guilt (which I'm trying to only save for sin now) about the things I do wrong or could have done better, or didn't do at all, that it can be crippling on those funkish days. I'm not trying to pretend that my life is perfect or everything is rosy. Opposition in all things right? We have to have the bad to know the good, the sad to know the happy. Don't compare your low points with my high points. Deal?
