*Playing Frisbee with Klint while the boys were taking a bath (Emily was playing in her room). Such a simple simple thing, but it was so refreshing and recharging. I loved laughing with Klint, he's so witty! I love him and all the sacrifices he has had to make for me lately.
*Cuddling with Klint in the morning. It was only for about 5 minutes, but it definitely started my day right. My favorite was when we both knew it was past the time we needed to get up and going and Klint asked if we could meet and do it again tonight. happy sigh.
*laughing with Klint after the kids were in bed. We snuggled in bed and laughed at a very ridiculously funny show. I like sharing it with him.
*Still lovin' him even after he pulled all the covers off before going to sleep. He claims he was just helping me get up to go the bathroom (which I had been whining about...but I was so warm and comfy in the bed...) but I think he just wanted to see me jump. :-)

Because of those "funkish" moments that I experience every once and while, I want to do as Elder Ballard counseled a few years ago and find joy in the moments of motherhood. To help me do that, I am going to try and write four motherly things that either (1) made me smile (2) appreciate the sweet three kids that have been entrusted to me (3) feel joy in my decision to raise a family and be a full time mom (4) recognize the Lords hand in helping me to be successful as a Latter Day Saint woman and mother.
I have to add that my life isn't perfect. I hope that if anyone ever comes across this blog and reads it (which I am doubtful of) and compares themselves to it, or feels guilt or bad about themselves that they'll realize these are the HIGH points of my life, not my every waking moments. I have terrible mothering moments all the time. And that's the problem, that's why I wanted to start this. I feel so much guilt (which I'm trying to only save for sin now) about the things I do wrong or could have done better, or didn't do at all, that it can be crippling on those funkish days. I'm not trying to pretend that my life is perfect or everything is rosy. Opposition in all things right? We have to have the bad to know the good, the sad to know the happy. Don't compare your low points with my high points. Deal?
