I wish you could see his eye better in this picture. The coloring is gorgeous. It looks like he got a hold of some beautiful purple and green eye shadow. Funny how the flash on the camera seemed to wash it all out. The bruising goes all the way over to this temple, and about an inch above his eyebrow. How did he get such a beautiful black eye? No, we didn't get upset with him. Here's the scoop:My wonderful mom is visiting from SLC and we decided to take a trip to the fantastic Hobby Lobby (a craft store) here in town. Matthew slipped and hit his head on a cart that had been left in the aisle. The shiner was his prize. We had to fill out all sorts of paper work about the accident, so maybe they'll offer us a $10,000 settlement for his injury! hahahaha fat chance :-)
Matthew is truly a trooper though. He cried, so I knew it was serious, but only for about five minutes, and then he was too concerned about still getting his previously promised Happy Meal. If you ask him if his eye hurts, he nonchalantly replies "nah, not too bad." I wish I was as brave as my nearly three year old.
