* A wonderful, caring, understanding, selfless husband. Who has held me in his arms ever second I've needed it (which has been more than a few times these past few days). Knowing that he would drop anything and everything if I needed him to. wow.
*Seeing Matthew's very cute tush on this scooter thingie (I sound so old). He had to move it back and forth to move the scooter forward and his tush was just soo cute. I had to laugh and stop myself from pinching those cheeks.
*Emily. Although she was sick...throwing up (or burping and spilling as she used to refer to it) and the other end as well, she was perfectly delightful all day. Even more so than usual.
*Meeting a very nice lady today. I like her. I'm grateful for a friend who introduced me to her. Grateful that I feel peaceful in her presence.
*Peace. Peace in what could be a turbulent time in my time, but having peace. I know my Heavenly Father lives and loves me and has blessed me with it.

Joyful Moments
Because of those "funkish" moments that I experience every once and while, I want to do as Elder Ballard counseled a few years ago and find joy in the moments of motherhood. To help me do that, I am going to try and write four motherly things that either (1) made me smile (2) appreciate the sweet three kids that have been entrusted to me (3) feel joy in my decision to raise a family and be a full time mom (4) recognize the Lords hand in helping me to be successful as a Latter Day Saint woman and mother.
I have to add that my life isn't perfect. I hope that if anyone ever comes across this blog and reads it (which I am doubtful of) and compares themselves to it, or feels guilt or bad about themselves that they'll realize these are the HIGH points of my life, not my every waking moments. I have terrible mothering moments all the time. And that's the problem, that's why I wanted to start this. I feel so much guilt (which I'm trying to only save for sin now) about the things I do wrong or could have done better, or didn't do at all, that it can be crippling on those funkish days. I'm not trying to pretend that my life is perfect or everything is rosy. Opposition in all things right? We have to have the bad to know the good, the sad to know the happy. Don't compare your low points with my high points. Deal?
